In this scenario does Kirby get over the hump and win it all? If nothing else, Orgeron will always have the hardware to fall back on. Then again.. so does Gene Chizik.

I agree I’d put Orgeron ahead of Smart right now. I’d actually put Mullen #3 and Kirby #4. I think Florida will be scary in the years to come and will overtake UGA imo. Or will at least pull even with them.

Chizik is the main reason I don't think Orgeron trumps Kirby on 2019 ALONE (which is why his 2018 job supports that 2019 wasn't a fluke).

Kirby did make the CFP finals, win an SEC title and one the East in another year. He's technically one win in OT away from having more hardware than Orgeron in a similar time frame. That's NOT saying Kirby is better, just that the two are close enough that one could make valid arguments for either.
