That's why LSU wins the 2008 matchup with eight in the box. Maybe even seven man box so you can drop the strong safety as well.

Force Stafford to throw the ball. Stop Moreno with the overloaded box and make Stafford prove to the D co-coordinators that he can beat our secondary on more than 5-yard completions; besides, with so many people close to the line, those 5-yard completions will be harder to complete, forcing the deep ball that Stafford has consistency issues with.

He has a career 120.9 QB rating...not too damned bad.

If I had to rely on a QB to get me through a game, I would take a battle tested and proven Stafford.

I think Stafford is the man. He has a cannon. Better than anybody Auburn, Alabama, or LSU has.

just realzed how grossly overrated he is after rewatching the sugarbowl. Though he has a good completion percentage and td to int ratio, 90 percent of his passes are screens, flat routes and 5 yard out routes... Georgia fans think he is the next Troy Aikman, but he will be holding a clipboard at the next level. He is nothing more than a game manager.

Get a job.

he wont hold the clipboard. some team will fall in love with his arm, draft him high, and wont be able to figure out why he struggles. he is a carbon copy of kyle boller.

arm strength =/= elite QB

Except he's only a True Junior. Lets see how he looks next 2 years before writing him off. He's had a pretty good first 2. And improved alot between them. My guess is he does so again.

who is your qb this year??....matt stafford is no david greene but he will do to get the job done...running game will keep you guys honest...stopping knowshon will be harder than you think and caleb king will be a beast as well...we are very much like the lsu of 07...very deep at every position...by the time we play you guys all the kinks will be worked out and stafford will be rolling...hide and watch...

i agree

stafford isnt a bad qb, and obviously id take him over what we currently have, im just tired of the peyton manning treatment for a kid whos played overwhelmingly average

says you....qb is still shaky, I say if gets rattled we'll see how well he handles it, LSU's receivers are better than your guys, if they find someone to pass it, look out.

good luck with running on lsu's defense the d-line and linebackers are both very good and even if knowshon runs for more than 150 yards you still have to throw the ball and with all the men in the box and the speed of them he will have to throw deep
