re: What if Petrino had stayed at Arkansas?

Yeah the Toledo game was a weird one. 16-12 final score I think even though we outgained them by about 300 yards. Had 2-3 scores called back and it was the 2nd game with Enos as OC so the offense wasn’t as sharp as it was later in the year. They had a good team that year though led by Matt Campbell. The Texas Tech game Mahomes just outscored us. Kept settling for field goals while they got TDs.

If we win those two games we likely go 10-3 that year. Bielema eventually fizzled out here and we still haven’t really recovered but there were a few years where he was super close to winning 9 or 10 games with a little more luck. Pretty sure under him we were tied with Syracuse or someone for most close (7 or less) losses of any P5 program. We lost to Alabama in 2014 because of a missed extra point lol
