Saban hired John Thompson as his defensive coordinator in 2000 and they were on a recruiting tour early in north Louisiana.

Guess who knew north Louisiana? Thompson. Not Saban.

And yet Thompson had to endure a lunatic narcissist screaming in his ear in the front seat of the car they drove from visit to visit.

Thompson said frick it and called Arkansas and got co-DC instead. Away from Saban.

He "lasted" with Saban for less than two months I think. And he was happy about it.

to each his own w/Saban

maybe Muschamp and Kirby gave Nick road head?

Saban is a great football coach. Great. Can be a tyrant. Glad he has mellowed out some

...and Thompson finally washed out of coaching as a DC/LB coach at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School!
What did Saban say about mediocre people and over achievers not getting along?
