Sal was one of the worst defensive coordinators in modern SEC history. Very good position coach, but clearly had no idea how to communicate things to his players.

I've never seen more busts in my life than that 2012 Tennessee defense. Guys just ran around wide open because they had 2 defenders in the same spot or nobody covering one half of the field.
