What kind of involvement (if any) do Jerruh Jones and other famous FB alums (Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer, etc.) have in decision making?

I don’t think any of the three really give a shite. Jerry is running the Cowboys, Jimmy just wants to fish, and Barry is more Sooner than Razorback.

Jerry Jones, by all accounts, was the man behind getting Chad hired.

Our famous football alumni are far from our bankroll alumni other than Jones. For a low population state we have more than our share of Fortune 500 or close to it companies. Yes, I know, we are also a fairly poor state all things considered outside of NW Arkansas.

The people who have money in Arkansas have a lot of it.

The big money boosters pretty well forced our last AD and Bert out. They whiffed on their first choice of head coach in Malzahn and with Jones trumpeting the greatness of Chad Morris they ramrodded him through. Our interim AD supposedly wanted Kiffin but given that she was fighting off the biggest booster revolt in Arkansas history for a hundred years went along.

In a way having crashed and burned so badly with Chad it has freed the hand of our current AD.
