No, he's so much more. He's that kid that pretended to be a ninja as a kid, but never grew out of it and decided to pursue that as a career, combined with that kid who always lied about stuff he'd done/could do

We missed out on having a sequel worthy of the predator name established by Arnold
quote:

In an interview with Howard Gorman (via Bloody Disgusting) for Predator 2's 30th Anniversary, director Stephen Hopkins talked about almost casting Seagal in the sequel. Apparently, Seagal really wanted the role and invited Hopkins over to his house to talk about the movie. Hopkins explained that it was one of the strangest experiences of his life, with Seagal showing off his gun collection and offering to launch grenades with the director.

quote:

I had to go and have a meeting at his house. Which was one of the craziest afternoons I’ve had. […] … it was a bizarre… he’s a very unusual, slightly twisted kind of guy. In the end, I couldn’t see myself doing it with him. He was desperate to do it. I went into his house and he took me into a room where all the walls were covered with guns. He told me he wanted to play a CIA-psychiatrist who was also a martial arts expert who carried a gun. He was clearly a little crazy at the time. And I was like this is different than the way we’re going so I guess we shouldn’t do it.

quote:

He said, ‘You know, I want you to come to my house in Santa Barbara.’ He said, ‘I’ve got a grenade launching range there, we can launch grenades together’. I said, ‘Yeah… great, we’ll do that’... Sorry, I’m not a fan of his.

I want this film. Imagine if the predator knew karate and if seagal had to use his experience with psychology to understand it... and then bullets to kill it after a martial arts fight

New Seagal project in the works
quote:

Tip of the Spear - A Border Patrol Agent and his team take on the deadly Arizona deserts filled with cartel and narcos to undercover the truth behind the mutilation of an American women

Seagal is set to receive an acting credit as well as a writing credit along with Keoni Waxman. No stranger to Seagal, Waxman has served as a director for such world class Seagal projects as A Good Man, Force of Execution, And Contract to Kill

Personally I think the name tip of the Spear is a little bland and will require reworking, maybe Spear point: operation kill

You'll be waiting awhile. I believe the superman guy is going to be starring in the New highlander reboot.
Guaranteed Hollywood politics were involved when seagal wasn't picked for the role, just like the last samurai

What we need is a remake of "Chariots of Fire" starring Steven Seagal.

What about a "Little House on the Prairie" reboot with Seagal in the Charles Ingalls role that was made famous by Michael Landon?

Important info

Seagal was banned from the Ukraine in 2017
quote:

The letter said such a decision is made when a person has “committed socially dangerous actions … that contradict the interests of maintaining Ukraine’s security”. The move comes after the actor received citizenship in Russia, which has backed separatists in a simmering conflict in eastern Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin handed Seagal a Russian passport and told him he hoped their “personal relationship will remain and continue” during a meeting in the Kremlin last year.

And yet he has the decency to want peace for both Russia and Ukraine
quote:

"Most of us have friends and family in Russia & Ukraine," the action star told Fox News Digital on Monday. "I look at both as one family and really believe it is an outside entity spending huge sums of money on propaganda to provoke the two countries to be at odds with each other."

"My prayers are that both countries will come to a positive, peaceful resolution where we can live & thrive together in peace," the 69-year-old shared.
