If you want to know about actual socialism the first thing you should know is no American presidential candidate is actually socialist. Overall America leans to the right of the political spectrum. A guy like Benrie would be considered a left leaning moderate in Europe

Really... What’s your definition of “left leaning moderate” (I honestly think you made that up) And what would political policy would attract European delegates?
