The 1920 Alabama Crimson Tide followed up their 8-1 performance in 1919 under first-year head coach Xen Scott with a 10-1 effort in the titular head coach's sophomore effort.

THE TEAM:

THE SCHEDULE:

vs. Southern Military Academy (W) 59-0
vs. Marion Military Institute (W) 49-0
vs. Birmingham-Southern (W) 45-0
vs. Mississippi College (W) 57-0
vs. Howard [AL] (W) 33-0
vs. Sewanee (W) 21-0
vs. Vanderbilt (W) 14-7
vs. LSU [HC] (W) 21-0
vs. Georgia (L) 14-21
vs. Mississippi A&M (W) 24-7
vs. Case (W) 40-0

That loss to Georgia prevented us from winning the Southern Conference title.

Georgia did not score on offense. They had a fumble return, blocked punt return and blocked fg return for touchdowns.

100 years later and we still haven’t figured out the kicking game.

Glad to see that the tradition of playing cupcakes early in the season dates back to the 1920s.
