Any of you boys enjoy Cigars?

I have been on a Connecticut kick lately, and I believe I've found my favorite - made by Brick House. Kinda one dimensional, but super smooth, with a great draw and burn.

I used to really enjoy cigars. Then, it seems like suddenly, they started making me feel ill, and I didn't enjoy the taste at all. Is this normal? I always thought it was weird, but I don't know any cigar smokers to ask about it.

Sounds like you may just need to slow down when smoking them. Try a milder bodied cigar, like a Connecticut, and relax a bit while smoking.
That’s a pretty normal experience, btw.

By the way, you're obviously posting more than you were before.
Were you banned? Ban bet? Or just busy?

Okay, I'll try that. Only problem is I have no idea where to get a cigar with the CV pandemic going on.

Just really busy. I'm a pilot, and things have kinda come to a screeching halt in this industry for the time being. Thanks for asking.

You might have to wait a few weeks.

Send me a shipping address, and I'll mail you one. TuscaloosaTD@gmail.com

I quit smoking cigarettes five years ago
I'm afraid cigars would reignite that addiction

I quit smoking cigarettes in 2006. Cigars have never made me want to smoke cigarettes, and they are not addictive to me at least. It's more of "oh it'd be nice to puff on a cigar" rather than "dammit I need a cigarette right now"
Mileage may vary

I do hear ya
I quit cigarettes for 10 months years ago and what helped me quit were some little rum dipped cigars I'd always get from a little place in Franklin Tenner

Try some quality pipe tobacco. I'm not talking about that OTC stuff. It's better than cigars.

I smoke both fairly frequently - although I may not quite understand what you mean by "OTC" stuff. I buy mine from pipe tobacconist stores. Am I doing it wrong?

Nah man. I was mainly talking about Sir Walter Raleigh, Prince Albert, etc.
Do you buy tims or the bulk at a tobacconist?

Ah, I see. I usually buy bulk by the ounce, and most of the time it's their personal brand or a concoction of "local" stuff they've made in house. This may not be the best method, but my first question is usually "what have you been selling the most of lately?" - and I'll usually give it a whirl.

Those bulk blends are rarely "house made". They are usually Lane products like BCA. Almost exclusively aromatics.
If they have a tin of English or Balkan then try some. Virginia/Perique is good also but can be rougher on someone not used to a pipe because Virginias can burn a little hotter because of sugar content.
