That was the game that convinced me Kiffin didn't believe in an offensive identity. About the only thing he was pretty much convinced of was getting the ball to Cooper and being the opposite of whatever the defense was lined up to give you. Alabama should take 2014 to heart, we saw a lot of those offensive principles repeat themselves during the Tua years. Strong through the air, and often a failure to launch in the running game (Yeldon and Henry notwithstanding) The defensive struggles against elite offenses were another. If you insist on spreading them out and chunking in a hurry the defense is ALWAYS gonna pay.

The spring was going to be a real litmus test for this year's edition of name that offense. I feel sad not getting a sneak peek.

This year's offense could be awesome running the ball with the offensive line and running back corps. But you also have the ability to burn teams deep with the pass with Smitty and Waddle coming back. The key of course is QB. Mac Jones is solid and a game manager but Bryce Young brings a different dynamic with his ability to create when the play breaks down. This offense has the potential to be lethal with the right QB play. Unfortunately, there isn't any time to figure out who works best. USC will be a legit test and Georgia is going to have a great defense.
