That game wasn't decided by Nix. 2 pick sixes thrown by Mac Jones took care of that. If you want to conflate that with elite Qb play, have at it. Very rare for a team to overcome immediate defensive scores like that but you knew that.

So my point is well taken then? Bo Nix was/is not elite and Bama still got beat.

Last year’s Bama defense stunk. The 2018 defense was mediocre other than Q. Williams.
