Yes they're trying to compel people to self-quarantine, and if people will stop being A-holes and hollering "You can't make me," we'll get through this thing a lot faster and get back to normal.

News flash: You may not to get to do that which you wish to do or go where you wish to go for a while, and you may miss out on some sports events, to keep this bug from multiplying exponentially ... that's the relevant thing, the speed and the fury with which this thing metastasizes .. regardless of the death rate or how sick it makes people compared to all the other diseases people keep bringing up.

That goes against the American traditions of libertarianism and unfettered personal freedom, but you'll live.

self-quarantine

Self quarantine is a good idea. If you are sick, stay the frick at home. If you have a weakened immune system, stay the frick at home.

Because you're going to catch this shite at the grocery store, gas station and other places where you interact with people.
