The Reid INT vs Bama was worse than the PP INT no call, IMO. Camera angle played a lot into the INT no call.
You literally can not tell who has possession on the Reid play whereas with Peterson he clearly has possession of the ball with not one but two feet in bounds.

Possession as in defined by the NCAA and nfl is not shown in a simple screen shot.

Williams has two hands on the ball throughout the catch. Reid gets a hand under the ball after Williams is down.
Possesion is clear. Williams received the ball and maintained possession through contact with the ground. Reid pulls it away AFTER Williams was down.
Again, the correct call is a catch for Williams or dual possession with the tie going to the WR.
The PP snapshot you are displaying doesn't reflect the complete possesion; he bobbled the catch through the movement and his foot dragged out of bounds before he secured it.
Both were bang bang plays. And, PP could have easily gone in his favor with no argument from me. But, any and every interpretation of the rules should have been a Bama reception.
