So if Bert gets the CU gig, does Arky have to start paying his buyout again?

A decent attempt at a troll but you won't get our goat with this one.
One last time, for those who are a bit slow...
Bert's payout was contingent on his seeking employment at an equal level. He had to file, every three months, his attempts to do so. OK. We will take some time for folks to absorb that. I know it is a lot to go through.
He did not do this. He did not seek a job at an equal level. He took a position as an unpaid advisor at the New England Patriots. This was in violation of his contract.
Ergo, he breached the contract that he had with us. We owed him diddly.
Now, had he made a vaguely half assed attempt to get hired somewhere, even a quarter assed attempt to get hired somewhere, we would still be forced to pay him.
Bert was too lazy to do the very little he needed to do. Which pretty well sums up his stay here.

No but isnt Aubbie offsetting Chad's buyout by hiring him?

Ark
Thank you. I didn't keep up with the saga.
Not collecting a paycheck is a terrific way to alienate your trophy wife.

Has a court ruled in Arky's favor?

It will be decided in Washington county, Arkansas.
I suspect we will win.

Sounds like a lame attempt to justify refusing to do what you said you’d do.

And that sounds like a lame attempt to troll when you'd be jumping up and down for joy if it had been your school that did it.
I will put it this way... say that you hire someone to build a porch for you. The deal you make is they build the porch and then you pay them x amount of money. A year later they still haven't built your porch, they haven't even driven by your home. Are you still going to pay them the money?
If one party in a contract does not honor the terms of the agreement than the other party in that contract is under no obligation to honor the terms of that agreement. Get Old Sarge to explain it to you.
