I like the city. I'm afraid the University never recovered from the STDs they received playing in the metro and conference USA. You can only pull it out in Memphis or Morgantown so many times before you catch something.

Louisville was terribly corrupt under Tommy turtleneck and Ramsey the President. Anything went under that regime, and they eventually paid the price for it.
I'm quite amazed they have regrouped as quickly as they have in football and basketball. They have solid coaches now.

I wouldn’t go as far as to call the whole city trashy, but when I was there on a regular basis in 2006-2007 I was surprised at the number of beggars on the streets downtown. Couldn’t walk a couple blocks without getting hit up for cash.

Louisville itself is not a bad city. It’s a shite school in a town with shite areas but downtown isn’t bad these days. shite..the food at Doc Crows makes it good by itself.
