I read it more as moving in the pocket and avoiding the rush, not so much picking up yards downfield. As far as running downfield goes, I don't think Brees has anything on Tua or Burrow.

Brees had a higher YPA than both in college.
Best season he ran for 521 yards to Tua's 190 and Joe's 399
