Why is everyone comparing him to the former auburn coach Gene chizik. What do you think LSU record will be next year

Gene went 8-5, 14-0, 8-5, then had one really bad year (which wasn’t his fault) and they fired him.

Bust Malzahn goes 8-5 every year and they pay him out the wazoo.

Sad.

Both never had a lot of success except for that one special year. O had a good season two years ago, but they are both comparable coaches record wise. I don't see O letting the train get off the tracks like Chiz did.

Well, that's broad.

Hypothesis: Probably not a very intriguing thread.

Let's see what he has written for us to read:

Uh, excuse me, but I never did that. Next.

Hmmmm... they will be losing some offensive production, but they can overcome that with their strong recruiting classes. Time will tell if Mr. Brennan can sustain the legacy of Mr. Burrow. Burrow was a generational QB for LSU, IYAM; yet, we shall see.

I think a 10-2 or 11-1 regular season record for LSU is reasonable.

You make it sound like O has been at LSU for 10 years.

O's record at LSU is not comparable to Chizik's Auburn record.

You are ignoring O's overall record(I understand why). That is what I was alluding to.

It sounds like he’s also ignoring Gene’s overall record

I'm ignoring both of their overall records because that has literally no bearing on anything.

Please explain the rationale behind the above italicized phrase, por favor.

Auburn fans acting clueless about that situation.

Never change.

Now my calculations could be wrong but this is what I came up with:

Ed O Career Record:
56-36

Gene Chizik Record:
38-38

How the frick is that even comparable? Never mind that Iowa State and Ole Miss have no bearing on anything.

O at LSU
40-9

Chizik at Auburn
33-16
