But shouldn't Georgia actually win something significant before they claim they own the east. I mean, if this was 1980 I could see your point but these days Georgia is just the team that can't get it done and until you actually win the whole thing you will be a joke.

Georgia owns the East by owning the East. One loss in three years, that's called dominating the East and most of those victories have been blowouts. I mean if this was 1998, I could see your point, but as of now (i.e., last dozen years) Tennessee is the joke.
As for the team that can't get it done, I believe that's called projection. See your psychologist for a definitive diagnosis. But congrats on beating Vandy this year.
