Yes they are. Pod has been used by tons of media to describe the scheduling system above. Here are a few examples:
ESPN on SEC Pods
Alabama’s largest newspaper on SEC pods

Pods mean the SAME group of teams playing each other in that group. The link in the OP only references 3 must-play yearly teams.
For ex.: It lists Ga. with Aub., Fl., & SC. Does Aub. have Fl. & SC? Nope - Ala. & MSU. Fl. with Tn.. SC with Vandy.
So, HOW is that a pod when Ga., Aub., Fl., & SC DON'T play each other EVERY YEAR?
