They do throw out the term “generational player” out way too often now. Like every year

Maybe they're generational talents but that doesn't mean they're generational players, yet. There's a difference between the two.

Take Lawrence for example. He may have generational talent. He checks all the boxes. That said, as of right now he isn't a generational player.

Also, should generational be singular ? If a generation is say 30 years, should only one player at a particular position be christened a generational talent ?

Julio, Amari or Jeudy ? Which one would Bama fans consider generational if at all ?

I'll bet I could find some "generational" curling players too. There has to be one or two of them out there.
