Bama will be tough for the foreseeable future, not denying that. What has changed though is that others, more specifically LSU who is the one Bama regular opponent with the most upside, has caught up. As recent as 2016 LSU was undermanned in regards to coaching staff, analysts, etc. Literally Saban was playing chess while others were playing checkers. That's not the case anymore.
2020 will likely not be a Championship season for LSU but this program is not going anywhere either.
