Use Google flights to get best prices... Pull the trigger on tix ASAP since you're pushing the 6 week window when prices start increasing exponentially ...

If $674 puts him in a hard place, he probably shouldn't make the trip. On the other hand, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. But how cool is that experience if you don't have any walkin around money?
