What if beck wins out, does the naacp get involved?

That would actually be bad for us. Best case scenario is Newman playing like a superstar and leading us to the playoffs while the two freshmen get some mop up duty. If Beck or Mathis win the job you kiss Vandergriff and Williams goodbye.

Beck being Trevor Lawrence good is highly unlikely so if he wins the job that means Newman struggled more than expected.

His stats against sub-par competition isn’t exactly much to get worked up about

Should be interesting.
I definitely feel better that we will have more quality depth at QB for the upcoming season.
We were fortunate that Fromm was such a durable QB because we were just a injury away from having to play a non-SEC level QB.

Not being hit so much helped his durability.

One of the down sides to a DT QB is that you have to worry about him being hit more when he starts running.

We will have 3 capable backups.
That is a much better position than last season where it was 1.

Competition breeds better performance.
