re: Georgia being kicked around on this board

To be honest it's pretty much deserved. I was just reading through a thread on the Georgia page and one guy mentioned that he was tired of winning 11 games of year and another responded that he should be tired of losing to Alabama and LSU when it really counted. He responded back that he was happy just getting there and losing.

Now it's my understanding that Richt was let go and Smart brought in to get Georgia over the hump, just winning games without a national championship was not good enough but now that seems to have changed. We're back to just being happy that we are not a bottom feeder.

This is exactly why Georgia has not won a national championship since 1980, many of the fans simply don't want it enough to demand it. If the administration can just coast to 10 or 11 win seasons with no championships and the fans still put money in the program and accept it they have no reason to demand a higher standard.

It's a good thing not winning a natty isn't the worst thing in the world because with the undemanding attitude of the administration and the fan base Georgia ain't going to win another one for a long, long time. It's disappointing
