Fromm Baylor Game Review

I've been frequenting rotoworld a long time for fantasy football news but I occasionally brief their college articles and came across this. Thought it was an interesting review of Fromm's performance in the game and food for thought. In summary, he thinks that Fromm doesn't make enough NFL quality throws per game due to arm strength limitations but that he has superb touch and processing ability. As a result you get a mixed bag each game where he makes a few NFL quality throws and a handful of mediocre ones that turn what could be TDs into long completions or incompletions.

It was interesting watching other qb's during bowl season. Even guys like the unheralded soph at Minnesota seemed to make smart moves in the pocket to buy more time and get room to step into their throws. I thought Jake did a good job of that in 2017, not as much in in 2019.
On another subject, I really liked the offense that Minnesota ran. I wish Coley would study the things they did against Auburn.

NFL throw: TD to Pickens in Sugar Bowl and TD to Ridley in SEC Championship last year
Head Scratchers: Flee Flicker to Pickens in Sugar Bowl and Incomplete pass to Robertson in SEC Championship this year. (Both were would be touchdowns)

I dont usually watch NFL games. But this past sunday, I saw several underthrown completions downfield just like those in the Sugar bowl. The receivers held onto the ball in the NFL, though.
Downfield throws arent always pinpoint it seems. Even when guys are getting $20M a year to heave it.
I understand the article. This time of year, we will hear about all of the awful things that Joe Burrow and tua do. It is what these analysts are supposed to do before the draft.

i totally understand its not a given. Both balls i felt like he tried to hum it in there instead of throwing it up for the WR to go get. especially the ball to robertson. No reason to zip that ball with how open he was. Zipped it right into the dirt hahah
