Copied from an email going around:

Word on the street is that Jackie Sherrill is really pushing Joe Judge. It's definitely a gamble, but if it happens, it will not be as bad of hire as the casual fan thinks.

Saban and Bellechik love the guy. He's interviewing for the New York Giants head job today and until this opening, was expected to be at least an offensive coordinator for McCarthy in Dallas or stay with the Patriots.

A couple of insiders have said that Cohen's trip to Boston may have been to encourage Judge to come on under a new coach as OC/Asst. Head Coach, but that does not appear to be the case. The 37-year old has spent the last decade under Saban and Bellechik. The hangup seems to be whether the Giants decide to take a chance on him to lead.

Its strange that the New York Giants are so important to the MSU Coaching Search. Napier wants the Baylor job. If Rhule gets the Giants job as expected, Napier is headed to Baylor. If Judge (or someone else) gets the Giants job and Rhule stays at Baylor, Napier could be an option again.

That would be a good hire and the NFL experience would really help out with recruits. My concern for him is that he doesn't really have much college experience and it is a different animal than NFL coaching. Still, that would be a solid hire.

Id be happy with that hire. Word is it's between him or Sark. Sark just seems like vomit city to me. Poor mans Lane Kiffin.

Why do schools continue to let former coaches that were fired influence coaching hires?

Joe Judge.

Has a great name for sure and would be a solid hire. Played at MSU. Hope the giants hire him.
