He may not have any this year, but that is poor thinking. He is thinking 3, 5, 10 years from now. Only Mullen has moved on to better things from Mississippi State, and he was a coordinator not a HC and one that was about to lose his job. It was easier to offer him less money and for him to accept.

I guess we will find out tomorrow, but if it isn't Napier it isn't because WE said no. It is because he turned us down, and he will turn us down because of the reasons I stated.

A bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush.

He's guaranteed 10 or 12 million. Would you take that right now or would you risk next season at Ulala? What if he goes 7-5? What's his worth then? Even if he wins the conference next year, will he command what the current conference champ earned this year? If he wins how much more do you think he will get? maybe a little more? What's that money difference vs a bump in pay for winning 6 games next at State? Which coaching spots are going to come open?

Mike Norvell is only making 3.75M next year at FSU then a bump up to 4. I think he had a better year than Napier.

It just might be if he wants more than his worth.
