good for him
If I remember correctly on the Duke dismissal timeline, didn't Gus keep him after the fighting incident just to try and win a game to make Gus look good, and then they Aub lost the game, Gus made a show about dismissing him?
As if somehow Gus was a victim in the whole thing?
That's how I remember it

I'm not surprised at all that's how your mind twisted things
You have the worst case of Gus derangement syndrome on the planet

He was suspended two times previously but was dismissed after the bar brawl.

I had it a little bit wrong
the bar fight was after a pathetic 35-21 "win" over San Jose State
Auburn barely escaped Jax State in week two, with a gift from the refs not calling an obvious hold in OT, and then lost badly to LSU and Miss State
then the lackluster performance over San Jose State
Gus sacrificed Duke Williams a few days later to take the pressure off of himself

Arkansas would have celebrated a "win" over San Jose State this year.

You sure remember a lot more about it than I do.

Wow! The fact that you recall all of that is either impressive, or really sad.
If you researched this just to respond to bowljackson, then it’s just sad.

Arkansad is so irrelevant that I had actually forgotten their embarrassing loss to San Jose State and his reference completely went right over my head until you reminded me.
Imagine forgetting LSU's loss to Troy or Bama's loss to Louisiana-Monroe
You just don't forget losses like that when they happen to programs that matter
