Don't get me wrong here, he is putting together a pretty good little season, but I've never seen a better example of a "system QB". This is going to be the biggest problem for LSU in the title game. Venables is as good as it gets when it comes to gameplanning against gimmicky type systems.
Again, I'm not badmouthing Burro. He's done an outstanding job this season. It's just that I see Clemson proving to be much much tougher than LSU fans seem to think they will be.
Maybe it's just 44-16 sticking in my mind, but last year everyone was just totally sure that Tua (last season's "greatest QB ever) was going to beat the hell out of Clemson. Reality doesn't work that way though.
Speaking of, why do we continue using the words "generational QB" or "generational talent?" It seems like every damn year there's some new player come along the likes of which we will never see again -- until next year. Then we hear the same shite again. And again. And again.

Alabama weakness is to the pass (has been since Saban took over), Saban changed his defense to play a quicker game.
The problem was he changed from a fireplug dl to a faster line, this allowed problems with the run as well, if Bama ran into a real passing team.

If LSU has a system in place that gets any slightly talented qb 78% completion percentage 5000+ yards 50+ tds and 11 ypa, we're fricked.
