What about 1938?
That would be the last title if the Arkansas QB didn’t fumble.
And if I’m not mistaken TCU actually won the polls in 1938, but UT claims the title anyway.

My in-laws are from Tennessee. Beautiful state and I enjoy going there. Food is sort of bland but the landscape is beautiful and people friendly. I have nothing to say bad about any of the times I’ve been there and I’ve been every year since the mid 80’s.
