Even she thought it was ridiculous to get upset about the "young lady" thing and even if she had been offended, she said what others have said. "After the conference, introduce yourself to the coach and explain your feelings. If you can't get to the coach, grab the SID and let them know you didn't appreciate it. Basically, handle it like a professional."
