That Georgia fans are pissed at us for luring Pittman away. The day Pittman got lured to Georgia was the start of Bert's decline here. We had a monster line by Pittman's 2nd and 3rd years here.

I don’t know that I’ve seen posts from many who were pissed.

I think there are some who may be butthurt when a coach leaves a team to coach for another team and there was some of that among our fan base when Pittman left here to coach at UGA. If the coach didn’t matter the fans would be saying who cares and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

I think most fans of both teams appreciate a coach taking an opportunity to accept new challenges and hopefully advance themselves personally and professionally and enhance their standard of living for themselves and their families. It’s a personal decision with lots of factors going in to it and you have to wish them the best in their new job.

I read a topic on the Georgia board that had them simultaneously pissed at us for taking him and also saying he was a bad hire for us.

I will say some of them are so upset with the offense that they want a complete overhaul, but I doubt it was really on him. There's no doubt in my mind that he made our O-line light years better when he got here but did the same for them over the past 4 years. He also is an extremely good recruiter

I heard a little complaining from some when he left us that they thought maybe his recruiting had fallen off some and/or he was not developing the Oline as he done previously but that may have been sour grapes and of course he’s done well at Georgia since then.

I was one of them, but time told us otherwise. What little o-line talent we got here and developed was due to him. That shutdown completely when he left. Statistically, Bert's best offensive year here was in Pittman's last.

And from a success rate standpoint, Arkansas offense was insanely good nationally(I think top 5 or 10) when he was here. Same can be said for Georgia the last few years

From watching Georgia play a few times this year, the WR core had no cohesion with Fromm. The reason being injuries or dropping catchable passes or Fromm throwing to spots and the WR's not being exact.

If you can't pose a threat vertically it's a tough time running.

Georgia was such a shite show this year that they won the SEC East and was in the playoff talks all year.

Good thing Pittman got out of that mess.

. I loved Pittman but didn’t like that we targeted only a few linemen a year. Yeah...... that ended up being a Bielema problem not Pittman. Bielema had that dumbasss one visitor at a time - no recruiting extravaganza policy. Bielema also (allegedly) liked to skip town when Pittman had a recruit lined up for a visit.

I wonder if Bielema was threatened by Pittman.

He knew how much Pittman loved it here. Pittman’s family is right down the road. Bielema probably thought that Pittman wanted his job. Then you add how the recruits/players lived Pittman. Maybe some jealousy there.
