re: Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas are the only SEC states where college sports isn't king

I’d bet a vast majority of the LSU fan base has a direct or indirect connection to the university (themselves alumni or parents/children are alumni). Many folks I know who attended other in-state schools wouldn’t count themselves LSU fans, but just about all native Louisianians I know would say they’re Saints fans.
