Parker is free to make his choice of who he plays for. If he enters the portal before he knows who the coach is and where he fits into the coach's plan, that would be unadvisable. It is his decision to make though.
Thompson's situation is entirely different. He got hurt, moved to offense, and they have recruited over him on both sides of the ball....just as I said they would.

I agree. It would be pretty dumb to enter the portal before we even hire a coach. Especially a Missouri kid who has a good chance to be the starter
As for Thompson, Missouri wanted him on the OL too so maybe he’s just not that good

He went there to play for Ruffin McNeill and ended up playing for Bedenbaugh, The amount of counter trap they run in that offense doesn't suit his skill set at all. He no longer fits what they want on the defensive line in Grinch's 3 man front.

Will Trevor Trout be next? I know he was injured in spring ball. Was he out for the year because he is not on the depth chart?

I just moved from around the corner from USC Stadium and I asked some of the die-hard USC fans about Trevor Trout and they said that they don't know what ever happenned to him. I didn't even see him listed on their 2019 roster.

Parker and Perkins are really the only two to do anything in college out of that group so far. Some of that is injury related though

He didn't record any tackles. I looked on the USC football home page he participated in two games. He'll probably stick it out. They didn't get much in the 2019 class at his position and have two 3*s in the 2020 class. His biggest issue will be if Helton gets canned and Meyer comes in. He has zero issue processing players and a DT that isn't getting on the field wont last long, especially in that state where Meyer will have his choice of players.
