NCAA sanctions include a 5% drop in schollies in FB,BB,SB for 2019/2020 only. They uphold the sanctions after the appeal.
Since the appeal ate up most of the recruiting calendar, and there were no modifications to the sanctions then the effect of the recruiting sanctions is minimal. Am I correct or am I missing something.

I’m not sure how these recruiting sanctions will play out considering the vast majority of this year was played under appeal.

The product on the field did more damage than the sanctions will.

So, the NCAA may have done us a favor by waiting so long.

I don't know about that but playing like shite and losing $13 million+ are bigger issues than 8 total scholarships and some visits.

I would have gladly kept the recruiting sanctions entirely to remove the bowl ban.

So assuming most of our recruits sign during the early period. Our real consequences are the fine, loss of a share of bowl revenues and double secret 2 year probation.

Nobody has been able to clarify that

I read an article, I believe it was Cbssports online that basically said that but I wanted to know if someone could confirm.

I get several Mizzou stories sent to me, and I haven't been able to find the article, that's why I was hoping someone could confirm the situation. I just remember that the point was made that the sanctions were written with a specific time frame 2019/2020. So the BB and SB postseason ban couldn't be carried out and FB recruiting would not be affected much.

I honestly don’t know, but it wouldn’t make a lot of sense because the period where we would have had restrictions has already came and went. So unless they self imposed (why would they) it would stand to reason that those sanctions get levied next year
