If she does the 6-year med, only outside scholarships or bright flight works. UMKC has some need based for med school, but it’s limited to a very few students.

But as I said, even if you get a full ride for undergrad, med school will be around $200k for even Mizzou. 6 year at UMKC is about the same as just Mizzou med.

Brother went the Mizzou route for undergrad and Med School. Fullride undergrad though due to academics and athletics. Double major in Bio and The Classics. He enjoyed his time.

Had a friend who went the 6 year UMKC dental route. Enjoyed it for the most part except for some... issues with the department I won’t mention. I’ll just say they delayed his graduation for reasons that were essentially fabricated..

I’ll just say keep the student debt in the back of your mind. If she’s not completely sold on Med school, it sounds like she needs more exposure first so the most cost effective undergrad decision may be the wisest.
