I think the fact that Bama's most impressive win is against SC and the Georgia loss was in overtime had a lot to do with it also. Had Georgia been beaten by two touchdowns, I don't think they are ahead of Bama. The Georgia loss was a fluke really. Everything had to go wrong that day for them, and it did. It's happened to Clemson, but the other team let them off the hook.
