For me the worst was walking out of the stadium in the rain after being shut out by Auburn at home in 2000 by 9-0. Miserable day in every sense of the word.

Was in Auburn for the honk if you sacked Brodie game. That was pretty much the low for me. Just capped off the season that looked so promising before prothro went down. It was then I realized we've gone nowhere since 99... and we weren't gonna get there without drastic changes.

Bill Curry was proof any idiot can win 10 games at Bama. Just stay out of the way and don’t screw it up. That was a maddening tenure. I will never forget being manhandled by Memphis. That was Curry: he could play LSU and Tennessee and win and turn around the next week and lose to Memphis. Or Ole Miss. And not complete a single pass the entire game. 0-11 passing, 0 passing yards. The only pass completed that Homecoming Day in 1987 was the brick thrown complete through Curry’s office window. Bad times, my friends.

the 2005 season... going undefeated into November, getting as high as #5, kind of made us feel like for the first time since the sanctions, this program was capable of coming back.

2006 made if obvious that it wouldn't be with Mike Shula.
