I think most folks are of the opinion that JCP hired Chad more to stave off a massive booster revolt that got her boss shite canned than anything else.
Don't get me wrong, she has a full share of blame for this debacle, but I think she wasn't the prime mover in all of this.
If I had to say, I'd point the finger at Jerry Jones who is a huge Chad Morris fan.

It had more to do with other boosters pushing for Gus who was using Arkansas for a huge payday at Auburn.
Once that fell through (not that he was ever coming here), it was only Jerry with his guy left to push forward.

Well I heard on the radio that Chad Morris is a QB guru. Jerry Jones should hire him to Dallas.

...and that should be the LAST time that kid ever starts a football game for Arkansas.
