They need a way to make them vote based on body of work and no names attached. With all this gripping about the teams, Bama is top and has literally not play a single decent team all year. They are there off name only. They are going to have to form divisions to make the playoffs to get a true NC.

How would you accomplish that? All these conferences are not created equal. So many variables involved that you can only hope they get the top 4 right. So far, I haven't seen the committee miss. I've seen the #5 team have a legitimate argument but that's to be expected when you have 4 spots. The top 4 all deserve what they got. Fair enough for human work.

Honeslty I think they should obey do 2 playoff rankings - after rivalry week and then the final one.

So much "controversy" that will all get settled on the field in the next few week.

They could also just go back to BCS formula with 4 teams and I'd be fine with that

All divisions aren't equal in the NFL either but no one is running around saying they got left out of the Superbowl or should be champs after they didn't make the game.

You are never going to find a committee that isn't bias or can ignore a name brand team when they don't deserve to be in over someone else. Right now Bama is top only because their name and not the teams they have beat this year. They probably have the worst resume in the top 20.
