One thing you’d better get ready for if Dabo is the next guy: it’s in his coaching DNA for having worked with Tommy Bowden and Bill Curry. There’s going to be that one game a year where Mississippi State or Missouri or even Vanderbilt just wears our arse out and we come away with an ugly loss or a skin of your teeth win. It’s an annual event with Dabo. The yearly WTF game. See Clemson vs UNC for example.

Prior to Tua, we didn't exactly breeze through the schedule every year either (albeit, it's the SEC and not the ACC)

2008 - Kentucky
2010 - Arkansas, South Carolina
2013 - Mississippi State
2014 - West Virginia, Ole Miss, Arkansas
2015 - Ole Miss, Arkansas
2016 - Ole Miss
2017 - Mississippi State

I get where you are going with this......but I think that is more of an aspect of college football.

You remember Saban's first year at LSU. They lost to UAB and Watson Brown.....the coach with the most losses in College Football.

Remember Saban's first year at Bama? LA-Monroe taking it to us? How bout 2009 when it took 2 blocked field goals to beat a UT team, that finished 1 game over .500 (7-6)

It happens.
