If SEC games were on Fox that would be one thing but if they were only on ESPN yes viewership would take a massive hit. Cable channels can’t compete with OTA channels when it comes to ratings. Why do you think ESPN refuses to release the ratings for SECN?
Also, barring a massive swing in Disney’s fortunes, the SEC will never be on Fox. Ever. ESPN has too much invested to let that happen. Perhaps they could end up on ABC once the CBS desk is over but Fox is a non starter.
