Stupid posts: why?

I've been here for a couple of years and I've seen trends come and go. This one seems new to me but maybe I just didn't notice before? People posting completely stupid predictions that have zero chance of happening. My first thought was that they were like the guy that claimed the DOW would fall to 1,000 in 2010, that figured that if it did, he'd be considered a beautiful genius and immediately signed to an 8-figure book deal...or he'd be wrong and no one would remember. But I think this has more to do with the social media effect of wanting to post stuff just for likes and shares...that little shot of dopamine when somebody upvotes your post. But in an effort to increase the quality of posts around here, I'm going to point out how completely douchey this is.
Auburn wasn't going to "body" Florida.
Florida wasn't going to "body" LSU.
Kyle Trask is not a future #1 pick
Mississippi State isn't going to upset LSU.
I'm going to digitally and virtually kick the arse of the next person that uses the word "body" as a verb.

First off F*** you for using that stupid term. Secondly, NOTHING on paper suggested that was a likelihood. NO expert predicted it. Of course, if you make enough stupid predictions with a 1% chance of happening, eventually you'll be right. But don't pretend it's because you are smart. A broken clock is right twice a day. Give 10,000 chimps 10,000 typewriters for 10,000 years, and one of them will end up with Shakespeare. It doesn't make him Shakespeare.
