Kirby has raised expectations for GA which is why these type of losses make them so much harder to swallow for many.

Expectation - 1 loss but really thought that would be Auburn or Texas A&M but ultimately we'd return to the SECCG.

Reality - The SC game to me was Murphys law so I think everything is still in play, but not guaranteed.

I'm reminded of the 2014 UF/Missouri game. Look at these stats and guesstimate what the final score was:

1st downs: 17 to 7, UF
Pass yards: 148 to 20(!), UF
Rush yards: 135 to 99, UF
penalties: 3 for UF, 11 for Missouri
TOP: 34 min to 26 min, UF

Based on the stats it's pretty clear that UF was in control and probably cruised, right?

Final score: Florida 13......Missouri 42

Wtf? How? Well UF had 6 turnovers to Mizz's 1. Missouri also scored TDs off a KO return, a Punt return, a fumble return, and an interception return.

Sometimes it just isn't your day, and that's what it felt like saturday. I think we beat SC 9 times out of 10 but this just happened to be the 1 where absolutely nothing went our way. Murphy's law, as you said.

HOWEVER..with all that said, it'd be easy to jsut chalk this up as "one of those days" and move on but what's really worrisome is that it didn't seem like our offensive coaches realized how stubborn and stupid we were being. The entire offensive gameplan after the 2nd series was garbage. I'm not sure how easily correctable that is.
