Auburn has already played two big games on the road. They have gotten better each week. They have a proven defense that has shut down two good QB’s (Mond and Herbert).

Florida, however, is still a big unknown. They may be really good but who have they really played?

(Credit to Aubie Spr96)
They're undefeated, but look at their schedule:

1. Miami W (24-20). Miami has two wins (Bethune Cookman and Central Michigan)
2. UT Martin.
3. Kentucky W (29-21). KY has two wins (Toledo and Eastern Michigan)
4. TN W (34-3). TN has beaten Chattanooga.
5. Towson.

Florida has not beaten ANYONE with a P5 win.

I am just confused. I am not saying Florida is not good enough to beat Auburn. Of course they are. But who out there would place money on Florida to keep this game within a FG?

Based on what offense they have stopped?

If Florida had held LSU (best offense in the SEC) to 20 points, then I would agree with you.

But what good offense have they played?

Couple of reasons.

Auburn's pass defense has been okay, not great. UF relies on the pass game.

Florida is better in YPP on both sides of the ball which is a big stat, but obviously opponents factor in.

The Swamp in a big game is certainly a factor. Ask LSU fans last year.

With Franks out, Florida has been far more worrisome a team. Kind of is what it is in that. We shall see how Trask does vs Auburn, but he played the same UK team as Franks in less time and did far more.

Florida has a quick defense, so it can neutralize the explosive plays somewhat that Auburn uses to move the ball on the ground.

Florida leads the nation in Interceptions, T2nd in sacks, number 1 in red zone defense, 5th in scoring defense, 2nd in turnovers gained, 7th in TFL

Basically...it's a good match up.

because these teams are very similar and the swamp is one of the toughest places to win in the country.

Auburn now carry huge expectations which had typically led to Gus gifting a game away in hilarious fashion

Who really knows what the outcome of this game will be??

Florida has ugly wins and are 4-0 against seemingly weak opponents.

Auburn beat a PAC-12 team (need I say more?) and obviously terrible A&M and Miss St. teams. Also, their much-touted defense allowed 16 pts by Kent State.

Toss up.

Your opinion isn’t important enough to care. Your Moorehead takes have rendered your opinion literally worthless.
