Maybe they were. All I know is it was all over pretty quickly. No one even got close to rushing the field. And as much as St. Louisans like their Budweiser (at least back then pre-InBev) it was a Sunday afternoon game. Far fewer drunks.

I dont understand why someone can’t recognize the great atmosphere St. Louis Baseball has. Loved every game I have watched
