Well..I'll see if I can get around it.

I know who called the defense Saturday. But since I cant say it's from this list

Whammy ward
T-rob
Wally burnham
Ed Oliver
Ellis johnson
WMuschamp

Hummm. Interesting....

(I don't have a thumbs up gif...)

Whoever it was, they need to do it some more.

If it's Ellis Johnson it would give me new hope for this team. That man called the greatest defenses when he was the DC. It was a slow downfall when Lorenzo Ward took over.

Burnham is the man. What a change.

Honestly what took Muschamp so long and why didn't he have us in a 4-3 from the start of the season.

That may be the question of the week.

Regardless, let's see how we progress.

Im personally waiting for uga to see the improvement. Color me cynical vs the dumpster fire of kentucky.

And I'm with Lonnie concerning RH. He hardly threw on Saturday and now has an open week to rest.

I'm anxious to see his accuracy and velocity in 2 weeks.

Nope Georgia is also my litmus test.
If you knew that this was , most likely, your last shot as a HC of a P5 team AND your claim to fame is as a DC why in the hell would you take the chance of letting someone else handle the position that got you to where you are KNOWING THIS WAS YOUR LAST CHANCE?

Your " wait and see approach because it was a horrible kentucky" team is a realistic approach. I'm not joining the " we can forget the past and win the rest" band wagon.

I’m not saying Muschamp is a terrific coach
I’m also not really jumping up and down saying our season is a success

I’m gonna be honest here, i was full of shite with the “this is our year” posts.
Because I like stirring the pot
Vegas had us at 5.5 wins this year.
They had us at 7.5 last year.
I tend to stick to those guys predictions and was thinking that’s how our season would go

That said, i don’t think he’s fired.
Not because of success (or lack of it) but because of his buy out
He’ll get another year IMO
It won’t be great again and will be fired after a meh year next year as well

Glad he learned he never should have left in the first place. He will have that 4-2-5 installed in no time.

Uum Johnson left over a year ago.
So if Muschamp has taken over the defensive play calling does that mean we will have a new DC next year or does he leave Trob as DC in title only?

If it were muschamp, wouldn’t we have ran more of a 3-4? Just like Ellis Johnson, it would have been a 4-2-5......

Didn’t burnham run a 4-3 here years ago?

We ran more of an attacking 4-3 cause we had more depth in the front 7 than they had blockers, it also generated more pressure and allowed our coverage more time which our young dbs need. I will say next year we may be able to see a true boom multiple defense.

This is if Boom will stick with an attacking 4-3

And yet it took Muschamp a third of the season to figure that out.
