The program should never have gotten down so low that we would lose to a San Jose, but it was already bottomed when Morris got here. He didn't put it there.

That said, he doesn't have much time to pull it up. As with Beleima, the thorn is the offensive line. Weakness there affects every aspect of the team, offense obviously, defense by not keeping them off the field and not scoring points, special teams by losing field position battles.

Until that is fixed, we are not going to be competitive. And even though we are starting a true freshman, you can't do that and expect to be strong there. You shouldn't see an O lineman on the field until they are a redshirt soph at the youngest (in general, there is a rare occasion.)

It is going to take a bit to correct our shortcomings there. I don't know if he will have time enough to get it done.

What you are saying is true as it pertains to winning in the sec. but the deal is San Jose state isn’t just a greater 5 team they are arguably the worst fbs school in the country. They went 1-11 last year and just got beat by Tulsa. The talent gap between us and them isn’t in the same universe and with talent like that it shouldn’t matter who you start you should be able to impose your will
