Not sure. I think Texas has the culture to play Boom's style of tough, physical D and ball control power football. Spurrier and the Fun 'n Gun and Urban and his speed kills spread made that transition unlikely to be accepted at UF. Plus, it's a conference full of tough defenses.

In the Big 12, it would have been the anomaly. Their teams aren't used to getting punched in the mouth on both sides of the ball over 4 qtrs. I think he could have been more successful at UTx than UF.
